Save $$, Make Your Own Flax Seed
If you have time to see our recipes, you will notice that many of our baked goods and breakfast options contain flax seed. If you have ever searched for it in the store, you will notice that it is offered in two forms, either whole seed or milled. The hull around flax seed is very tough and our stomachs cannot digest it unless it has been either soaked and sprouted, or ground into flax meal.
If you are looking to incorporate flax seed into your diet and reap the rewards of this great seed, then we suggest milling it into flax meal at home. This will save you a considerable amount of money! It is very easy and will only take a couple minutes. You will need a high speed blender such as a Blendtec or Vitamix for best results.
