Spinach Saute

This is a great classic dish sure to please!  With no hidden fats this is a light alternative to the often oiled down braised spinach.  This delicious dish pairs wonderfully with many dishes especially our stuffed bell peppers!  Add a squeeze of lemon to bring out the flavors and to help fully absorb the iron from the spinach!  This simple dish will help with everything from your vision, skin and bones to your immune system, blood pressure and brain and nervous system functions!  So eat up and enjoy!



  • 1/2 large red onion
  • 5 hand fulls of spinach
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon


Slice onion in half and then slice long strips.  Place in pan and cook on med. high heat for 3-5 minutes until tender.



















Add in 1 clove garlic minced.  Cook for 3 minutes

Reduce heat to medium and add in 3 hand fulls of spinach and cook.  Once that wilts down turn heat off and add in rest of spinach.  let cook down but not for too long.  It is nice to leave some of the spinach just partially cooked.



















Add pepper and salt to taste.  Squeeze a little lemon over top to garnish if you so desire.
