Pre/Post Workout Ice Cream Delight

There are a number of different and delicious ways you can put this snack together.  Depending on what you mix in, this can be a pre-workout energizer or a recovery desert.

 

Start by freezing some banana’s that are on their way out.

 

When you are ready for a treat, let one banana thaw slightly 5 minutes or so.  You can do this in your blender to make clean up easy (or if you don’t have a blender let thaw slightly in a bowl and mash with a fork).

 

Then choose your addition…

Pre-workout energizer:

Option 1:  Simply add in a scoop of Vega Pre-Workout energizer, mix and enjoy!

Option 2:  Blend in a date or two (or mince by hand and mix in) and top with or blend in berries.  Sprinkle 1-2 tsp. cacao nibs, walnuts, seeds etc. over top.

 

Post workout Recovery:

Option 1:  Add in one scoop of Vega recovery protein powder – We really like this with the vanilla flavor.  Leave as is or top with cacao nibs, nuts, seeds, berries, chia seeds or flax.

Option 2:  Mix with 1-3 tbsp. Hemp seed, 1 tbsp cacoa powder.  If you want to add more flavor mix in some berries and top with a sprinkle of raisins for some texture or whatever else you like!
