Creamy, UnCheesy Spread

If you have made the plant based switch but still long for that cheesy flavor, then look no further!  This versatile recipe will compliment just about anything!  Spread it on your favorite veggie burger or sandwich, use it as flavored dip for your veggies, or mix it into fresh plate of steamed veggies.  The sweetness of the butternut squash is rounded out by the nutty, sharper flavor of the nutritional yeast while the white pepper adds a subtle spice with no added sugar or oil.

Did you know that butternut squash is a great source of vitamins A, C, and E along with minerals like potassium, manganese, and magnesium?  Combined with the super B vitamin profile of the nutritional yeast, this is a nutrition dense food to enjoy anytime.


  • 1 Butternut Squash, peeled, cubed, steamed
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground White Pepper


If you need some help on how to prepare and cut up butternut squash, check out our helpful video here!  Using a food processor fitted with the “S” blade, add 4 cups of the cubed steamed butternut squash.  Then mix in the minced garlic, nutritional yeast, salt and pepper.  Process  ingredients until well incorporated, scraping down the sides as needed.  Best served warm!
