How to Prepare Kiwi Fruit
Believe it or not, the peel on kiwi fruit is actually edible! Of course, it adds to the nutritional content of the fruit as well. Now most of us aren’t accustomed to eating the skin. So the following video shows a quick and easy way to snack away!
Kiwi fruit is a great source of both vitamin C and potassium. In fact when you compare equal parts, kiwi is higher in vitamin C than oranges and higher in potassium than bananas (bananas are actually a very poor source of potassium). Kiwi fruit is also a great source of vitamins E and K as well. Vitamin E is a powerful anti-oxidant and is powerful in healing wounds and vitamin K is responsible for blood clotting, bone strength, and maintaining supple arteries (preventing calcification).
